Condition: Lovely condition with light wear commensurate with age. Small nicks to band/setting - does not affect durability/wearability. All stones secure.

This vintage 9ct gold acrostic ring is one of those quietly special pieces that feels like it carries a secret. The stones spell out D.E.A.R.E.S.T - Diamond, Emerald, Amethyst, Ruby, Emerald, Sapphire and Tourmaline - each approximately 2mm and set in a neat, glowing row of colour.
Acrostic jewellery dates back to the Georgian and Victorian eras, when jewellers used gemstones to spell hidden messages. 'Dearest' was one of the most popular. The palette is beautiful - colourful without being too loud, and romantic without being obvious. The kind of ring that invites a second glance and absolutely makes you smile!

How do you authenticate your pieces?
We carefully assess every piece using our gemmological training, specialist tools, and industry experience. We are both studying toward the Graduate Gemmologist (GG) qualification with GIA (Gemological Institute of America) and have completed the Applied Jewelry Professional (AJP) and Graduate Diamonds (GD) qualifications.
We also work closely with our jeweller, who has almost 50 years of experience and is a qualified gemmologist.
Carat weights are estimates based on measurements taken in the setting unless otherwise stated. Precise weights can only be obtained from loose stones. Many of our diamonds are old cuts, which are often asymmetrical and not calibrated due to traditional hand-cutting techniques.
We aim to provide clear photos and videos from multiple angles to help you purchase with confidence.
Do I have to pay tariffs or duties when buying from the US?
Yes - US customs may apply tariffs, duties or taxes on imported jewellery. Don’t worry! We ship all US orders with DHL Express, who handle the customs clearance for you. You can read our full guide here.
