COMPETITION AND CONSUMER ACT
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded, modified or restricted under the Australian Consumer Law and are in addition to any manufacturer or supplier warranty.
For the purposes of Schedule 2 of the Australian Consumer Law, in particular Sections 51 to 53, 64 and 64A of Part 3-2, Division 1, Subdivision A of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), goldbrickjewels.com’s liability for any breach of a term of this agreement is limited to: the supplying of the goods or services to you again; the replacement of the goods; or the payment of the cost of having the goods or services supplied to you again.
You must be over 18 years of age to use this website and to purchase any goods or services.

DELIVERY OF GOODS
Delivery is included with all orders. We currently ship to Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, the United Kingdom, and the United States. If you are located somewhere else, please contact us before ordering and we will let you know what may be possible.

Physical goods may be delivered by Australia Post, DHL Express, or another reputable courier company at our discretion. Deliveries are processed promptly upon receipt of full payment. Most orders leave Melbourne in less than 3 business days, although orders requiring extra work, including ring resizing, repairs, or other alterations, may take longer.

All orders include tracking, insurance cover for loss or damage in transit, and signature on delivery. Goods are sent to the postal address provided by you at checkout. We will not be liable for delays, non-delivery, or additional costs caused by an incorrect or incomplete address being provided.

For United States customers, the price shown includes insured DHL Express shipping and import duties/tariffs under our standard United States shipping arrangement. This means there should be no separate DHL bill for these charges on delivery. If you receive an unexpected request for payment from the courier or customs authority, please contact us before paying it so we can investigate.

For all other international destinations, local duties, taxes, tariffs, or customs charges may apply depending on your country’s import rules. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility.

While we make every effort to support timely customs clearance, including supplying relevant documentation, delivery may be delayed due to customs or import processing in the destination country. These delays are outside our control and are not covered by insurance.

Tracking and receipt of goods is the responsibility of the buyer once delivery has been attempted. Failure to receive or collect goods may result in the parcel being returned to us. If redelivery is required, it will be arranged at the buyer’s expense.

If an order is lost or damaged in transit before delivery, please contact us as soon as possible so we can assist with the courier investigation and insurance claim. Insurance claims may only be submitted after the carrier’s investigation has been completed and any required timeframes have elapsed.

We reserve the right to cancel and refund orders that appear to be fraudulent, cannot be fulfilled, or cannot be safely delivered for any reason. If this occurs, the order will not be shipped.

RETURNS AND REFUNDS
goldbrickjewels.com handles returns and processes refunds in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.

We do not accept returns for change of mind.

If you believe your order has a pre-existing major problem that was not disclosed or shown in photos, please notify us within 5 days of receiving your parcel. We will not accept responsibility for normal wear and tear, damage caused after delivery, third party alterations, resizing, repairs, or other modifications made after delivery.

Returns will only be accepted where the item is in original condition, free from alteration or damage, including resizing, repairs, or other modifications. Returned items must be securely packaged and sent using a trackable delivery method, with the tracking number provided to us.

For international returns, the parcel and associated customs declarations must be clearly marked as a return of goods. We are not liable for customs charges, duties, taxes, tariffs, or other import charges resulting from incorrect or incomplete declarations. If any such charges are incurred by us, they may be deducted from any refund amount where permitted by law.

Return shipping, packaging, insurance, and related costs are the buyer’s responsibility unless otherwise required by Australian Consumer Law. We strongly recommend that all returns are sent with insurance covering the full value of the item. We are not responsible for returned goods that are lost, damaged, or not received.

Where a return is accepted, any refund will be processed after the item is received and inspected. Refunds will be made using the original payment method where possible.

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

LAYAWAY (LAY-BY)
We may provide layaway (lay-by) at our discretion on orders over $500 Australian dollars (AUD).

An initial deposit of 25% of the total price, or another amount agreed with you in writing, is required to secure the item. Further instalments will be agreed with you at the time the layaway is arranged, usually as a total of four equal payments over four months, including the deposit.

The agreed total price at the time you enter into the layaway agreement is fixed. Later discounts, promotions, price reductions, currency movements, market-specific pricing changes, or sales do not apply to existing layaways.

Prices are set in Australian dollars (AUD), with local currency conversion services provided by Shopify where available. For international customers, currency conversion rates and displayed local currency amounts may vary during the layaway period. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, your layaway total is based on the agreed AUD price at the time the layaway begins.

For United States layaways, the agreed total may be based on the United States market price shown at the time the layaway is arranged, including applicable insured DHL Express shipping and import duties/tariffs under our standard United States shipping arrangement. Once agreed, that layaway total is fixed and will not be recalculated due to later market pricing, currency, tariff, or promotional changes.

Payments are interest free. In the case of change of mind or cancellation of layaway, a termination fee equal to the initial deposit will be retained by us. Any other instalment payments will be refunded, less the termination fee.

The goods will not be altered, including resizing, repairs, or remodelling, and will not be shipped until all instalments and any applicable agreed costs are paid in full.

If payments are missed and no communication is received from you within 10 days of the missed payment, we may cancel the layaway and restock the item.

We accept no liability for customer use of third party “buy now, pay later” services provided by PayPal, including Pay in 4. Options at checkout are provided for your convenience.

JURISDICTION
This agreement and this website are subject to the laws of VIC and Australia. If there is a dispute between you and goldbrickjewels.com that results in litigation then you must submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of VIC.
