Size: Face measurements range from 9mm-11mm diameter. Whole pendant including bail and jump ring measurements range between 20mm-23mm drop. Large 8mm jump rings on each pendant.

Condition: Newly made custom piece with natural stone. No indications of treatment. Flat-backed pendants. Please review pictures before selecting - each pendant has been hand finished and may show variations and small imperfections.

Why we love them
We found these natural star ruby cabochons during our trip to Bangkok to complete our GIA Graduate Gemologist exams, while spending free time exploring the gem markets and meeting people in the local trade.
Each stone was hand-selected by us because it had something interesting to love - some lean into vivid hot pink and purple tones, some show natural growth features that tie so beautifully into our gemmology studies, and some have gorgeous clear asterism, with stars that come alive in direct light or sunshine. A few even show double-star effects, which made them feel extra special to us.
After choosing the stones, we had them made locally here in Bangkok, so the whole process - from selecting the cabochons to finishing the pendants - became part of this trip. They’re a sweet, accessible way to own a little piece of our Bangkok gem adventure, and every one has its own character.

How do you authenticate your pieces?
We carefully assess every piece using our gemmological training, specialist tools, and industry experience. We are both studying toward the Graduate Gemmologist (GG) qualification with GIA (Gemological Institute of America) and have completed the Applied Jewelry Professional (AJP) and Graduate Diamonds (GD) qualifications.
We also work closely with our jeweller, who has almost 50 years of experience and is a qualified gemmologist.
Carat weights are estimates based on measurements taken in the setting unless otherwise stated. Precise weights can only be obtained from loose stones. Many of our diamonds are old cuts, which are often asymmetrical and not calibrated due to traditional hand-cutting techniques.
We aim to provide clear photos and videos from multiple angles to help you purchase with confidence.
Do US customers have to pay tariffs or duties?
No - for United States customers, the price shown includes insured DHL Express shipping and import duties/tariffs.
This means there should be no separate DHL bill for these charges on delivery. We always ship at full declared value so your parcel stays compliant, secure, and fully insured.
