Why we love it
There is such a wonderful sense of presence to this ring. Centred around a vivid 2.54ct peridot, the design feels bold, sculptural and completely one of a kind - the kind of piece you understand even more once it is in your hands.
Handmade from scratch by Australian jeweller Chris Sherwin, this ring was raised and formed from flat metal rather than cast, giving it a depth and integrity that can only come from traditional hand fabrication. Chris has been in the trade for over 40 years, working across gold, silver, platinum and even rare metals from time to time, and that experience is immediately felt here. Every curve, join and finish feels intentional.
What we love most is the way Chris brings a true designer’s eye to the piece. His background spans fine jewellery through to larger silver centrepieces, trophies and showpieces, and you can feel that breadth of skill in this ring - it is jewellery, but it also has the quiet confidence of a small sculptural object.
The contrast of metals is especially beautiful here. The cool sterling silver gives the ring its strength and sculptural presence, while the recycled 18ct yellow gold brings warmth around the peridot. We love the little gold granule details - they feel almost like tiny droplets of light gathered around the stone. Against the vivid green, they make the whole piece feel alive, organic and unmistakably handmade.
The peridot itself is bright and juicy, with that incredible green glow that shifts in the light. The design feels substantial without being heavy, detailed without feeling overworked, and made with the kind of care that gives you complete confidence it was built to last.
This piece carries Chris’s own marks, alongside the first ever GBJ mark - a small but deeply special detail for us. It makes the ring feel like part of Goldbrick Jewels history, marking the beginning of this guest jeweller collaboration in the most beautiful way.

How do you authenticate your pieces?
We carefully assess every piece using our gemmological training, specialist tools, and industry experience. We are both GIA Graduate Gemmologists and have also completed the Applied Jewelry Professional (AJP) qualification.
We work closely with our jeweller, who has almost 50 years of experience and is also a qualified gemmologist.
Carat weights are estimates based on measurements taken in the setting unless otherwise stated. Precise weights can only be obtained from loose stones. Many of our diamonds are old cuts, which are often asymmetrical and not calibrated due to traditional hand-cutting techniques.
We aim to provide clear photos and videos from multiple angles to help you purchase with confidence.
Do US customers have to pay tariffs or duties?
No - for United States customers, the price shown includes insured DHL Express or Australia Post shipping and import duties/tariffs.
This means there should be no separate bill for these charges on delivery. We always ship at full declared value so your parcel stays compliant, secure, and fully insured.
Do you offer layaway or payment plans?
