A stunning treasure from the Edwardian era, this exquisite five stone ring showcases three bright, lively diamonds paired with two rich royal blue sapphires - an elegant and timeless combination. Crafted in 18ct gold in Birmingham in 1909, this piece carries all its original hallmarks, including the William Griffiths & Sons maker’s mark. Each mark is exceptionally crisp and clear, a wonderful testament to the ring’s well-preserved history.
The gemstones are beautifully sparkly, with only small areas of wear/abrasion consistent with its 116 years of age. The 0.45ct of old European cut diamonds (natural, SI1-I1 clarity, F-G colour) catch the light with classic antique sparkle, while the 0.4ct of sapphires provide a luxurious pop of colour, perfectly complementing the warm gold setting.

How do you authenticate your pieces?
We carefully assess every piece using our gemmological training, specialist tools, and industry experience. We are both studying toward the Graduate Gemmologist (GG) qualification with GIA (Gemological Institute of America) and have completed the Applied Jewelry Professional (AJP) and Graduate Diamonds (GD) qualifications.
We also work closely with our jeweller, who has almost 50 years of experience and is a qualified gemmologist.
Carat weights are estimates based on measurements taken in the setting unless otherwise stated. Precise weights can only be obtained from loose stones. Many of our diamonds are old cuts, which are often asymmetrical and not calibrated due to traditional hand-cutting techniques.
