A true piece of Australian history, this antique 18ct gold ring is set with two vibrant natural emeralds and four sparkling old mine cut diamonds (natural/earth mined, I1-I2 clarity, G-H colour). The stones are in a beautifully detailed setting - we love the gorgeous craftsmanship in the undergallery too! This ring bears the mark of Duggin, Shappere & Co, a prolific Australian jeweller active in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Attributable Aussie maker's marks are tricky to find, making this piece not only stunning but historically significant.

How do you authenticate your pieces?
We carefully assess every piece using our gemmological training, specialist tools, and industry experience. We are both studying toward the Graduate Gemmologist (GG) qualification with GIA (Gemological Institute of America) and have completed the Applied Jewelry Professional (AJP) and Graduate Diamonds (GD) qualifications.
We also work closely with our jeweller, who has almost 50 years of experience and is a qualified gemmologist.
Carat weights are estimates based on measurements taken in the setting unless otherwise stated. Precise weights can only be obtained from loose stones. Many of our diamonds are old cuts, which are often asymmetrical and not calibrated due to traditional hand-cutting techniques.
We aim to provide clear photos and videos from multiple angles to help you purchase with confidence.
Do I have to pay tariffs or duties when buying from the US?
Yes - US customs may apply tariffs, duties or taxes on imported jewellery. Don’t worry! We ship all US orders with DHL Express, who handle the customs clearance for you. You can read our full guide here.
