It is a classic all yellow gold ring with a bead and wire shoulder decoration, set with a cushion cut 0.88ct teal\/blue Australian sapphire.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWhat makes the ring special for me is the genuine Australian teal\/blue cushion cut sapphire which was cut by master facetor, Paul Fenselau. Paul had been a student of mine both at RMIT and Melbourne Polytechnic. A qualified goldsmith, Paul was exploring more deeply into what the jewellery making profession offered him. He discovered the world of gem cutting and polishing. He became very accomplished and won numerous awards for his meticulous craftsmanship. I was most fortunate to have Paul cut quite a few gems for me over the years. He sadly passed away in 2019 at just 40 years of age. I have a very small collection of pieces that contain his special gems.
